Ibagué fue seleccionada para ser la ciudad sede del primer Encuentro Nacional de Jefes de Control Interno de todas las entidades públicas y privadas del país, que se reunirán los próximos 21 y 22 de agosto en el auditorio central de Comfatolima y contará con la presencia de importantes funcionarios del orden nacional.
El objetivo principal de este encuentro es capacitar a los jefes de control interno con la normativa vigente en especial el Decreto 943 del 23 de mayo 2014, y la actualización del Modelo Estándar de Control Interno (MECI), así como la formación académica para ampliar en sus respectivas entidades para cumplir con la norma.
Entre los invitados se encuentran el Dr. Pedro Luis Bohórquez, Contador Nacional, que socializará sobre el control interno contable, de igual forma estará el Secretario de la Transparencia, Rafael Merchán Álvarez, quien explicará el alcance de la Ley de transparencia 1712 del 2014; y el Departamento Nacional de Planeación hará una presentación sobre auditorias visibles.
